Ruba Kiwan

Speech and Language Pathologist

Ruba Kiwan is a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist licensed by the Department of Health (DOH). She completed her bachelor’s degree at the Lebanese University in 2012, marking the beginning of her extensive career in speech therapy. Ruba has worked in a variety of settings in Lebanon, including schools, clinics, and specialized centers. Her diverse experience has allowed her to work with a wide range of pediatric and adult patients, addressing conditions with different developmental delays such as Autism, Speech Sound Disorders, Fluency Disorders, Language Delays, Learning Difficulties, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Ruba also served as a supervisor at the Lebanese University for three years, where she observed and mentored Speech Therapy trainees, ensuring the next generation of professionals received the highest level of education and guidance. In addition to her clinical expertise, Ruba is committed to ongoing professional development and has attended numerous workshops and conferences on topics including Autism, Cleft Lip/Palate Comprehensive Care, Special Kids Transitioning into Adulthood, Dyslexia, Stuttering, and Crisis Management for Families of Children with Difficulties.

Currently, Ruba is a valued member of the team at Intercare Health Center, where she focuses on providing speech and language therapy for both children with various speech and language challenges. Her approach is centred on comprehensive, individualized care, with a commitment to improving her patients' communication skills and overall quality of life.

Moreover, being the Head of the Speech Therapy Department, Ruba provides leadership, supervision, and support to speech therapists within the department and ensures that all staff are delivering high-quality care. Ruba also collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to offer holistic care, while continually advancing departmental goals and maintaining high standards of practice.
