From graduating high school in Chicago at just 15 years old to becoming the youngest student admitted to medical school at Jordan University of Science and Technology, Dr. Omar Saleh’s journey into psychiatry has always been defined by passion and purpose. Ranked at the top of the Jordanian Psychiatric Board examinations, he has since built a career shaped not only by academic achievement but by a commitment to care in some of the most challenging settings. For over four years, Dr. Saleh led the only licensed psychiatric clinic at the Zaatari Refugee Camp, serving 80,000 displaced children and families in collaboration with UNHCR and the International Medical Corps.
He has also held roles at leading hospitals and universities in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Chicago, blending teaching, research, and clinical practice. His expertise spans child and adolescent psychiatry, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and trauma, where he integrates psychotherapy and medication in a holistic, patient-centered approach.
