Liya Mol Thankachan is a licensed and experienced Speech and Language Therapist accredited by the Department of Health (DOH). With a career spanning over a decade, Liya has dedicated the past 10 years to the field of speech and language therapy, including 8 years of clinical practice across the UAE.
Liya has worked in diverse healthcare settings, including private clinics, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and homecare setups in both Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. This broad exposure has allowed Liya to support individuals across age groups with a wide range of communication challenges such as speech and language delays, articulation and phonological disorders, fluency disorders, and neurodevelopmental conditions.
Liya is trained in Oral Placement Therapy (OPT), enhancing the ability to address oral-motor deficits that affect speech clarity and feeding skills. Liya actively collaborates with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure functional outcomes and meaningful progress.
Currently, Liya is a valued member of the Speech Therapy Department at Intercare Health Center, providing high-quality therapy services and contributing to a holistic model of care for children with communication and developmental needs.
