How Intercare Health Center collects, uses and protects your personal and health information.
Intercare Health Center LLC (“Intercare,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal and health information we collect, why, how it is protected, and the rights you have over it under UAE law, including the Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL).
When you use our contact form, request an appointment, or message us via WhatsApp or email, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, phone number, email address, and the content of your message. This website does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics, and does not collect any information automatically beyond what you choose to submit.
If you become a patient, we collect the health and personal information needed to assess and treat you — such as your medical history, clinical notes, assessment results, and insurance details. This information is collected directly from you (or your parent/guardian), your referring clinician, or your insurer, in the course of providing care, not through this website.
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, schedule and manage appointments, provide clinical assessment and treatment, process insurance claims and billing, meet our regulatory obligations to the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH) and other UAE authorities, and improve our services. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.
We share information only where necessary: with your insurer, for billing and claims; with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi and other regulators, where required by law; with other clinicians involved in your care, with your consent; and with service providers who support our operations (such as IT hosting), under confidentiality obligations. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We retain medical records for as long as required under applicable UAE and DOH recordkeeping requirements. Website enquiries that do not lead to a patient relationship are kept only as long as needed to respond to you, and are deleted or anonymized thereafter.
Under the PDPL, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion or restriction of processing (subject to our legal and regulatory recordkeeping obligations, which take priority for medical records), object to certain processing, and request your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
Many of our patients are children. Where we hold information about a minor, it is collected and used with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, in the course of that child's care.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal and health information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, in line with DOH requirements for healthcare facilities.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. The current version is always the one published on this page.
