Blessy Mathew

Speech and Language Therapist

Blessy Mathew is a DOH licensed Speech Therapist completed her master’s degree in Speech Pathology from University of Mangalore, India in 2013. She is a registered member of Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), and Indian Speech and Hearing Association (ISHA). She began working in the UAE in 2017 and has over ten years of experience in this field.

She has extensive expertise working with paediatric populations of different age groups and with a variety of disorders, such as language delays, neurological disorders, Autism Spectrum, Disorder, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, speech sound disorders, dysfluency, hearing impairment, feeding difficulty, and learning difficulties. She has worked across a range of paediatric settings including clinics, hospital, special needs school, and nurseries.

During her journey, she has gained knowledge and trainings in Picture Exchange Communication system (PECS), Makaton Level 1 and 2 and use of other Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) system.

Social Communication, Emotional Regulation, Transactional Support (SCERTS) for Autism Feeding Therapy – Oral sensory motor intervention for paediatric feeding difficulties and Autism Diagnostic observation schedule (ADOS-2)
