Khusela Mgoqi

Speech and Language Therapist

Khusela completed her bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Cape, South Africa. She is a licensed Speech and Language Therapist under the DoH and has been working as a speech therapist since 2014. She has valuable experience across multiple settings that include schools, community, multidisciplinary rehabilitation centres and long-term care units.

Khusela is passionate about providing evidence-based practice and supporting children with special needs and training their families. Her skillset encompasses a wide range of competencies including assessment and development of therapy plans for children with a variety of speech and language disorders, swallowing difficulties and management of children with non-verbal communication using various modes of AAC.

Throughout her career, she has collaborated closely with families and educational professionals to provide intervention for children with various communication disorders (including ASD, delayed speech & language disorder, selective mutism). Khusela is fluent in English, IsiXhosa (native language) and speaks basic Arabic.

-Oral Placement Therapy
